Not sure if I am using this platform correctly, but since it's just me for now...
Holla at ya girl!
Guess who is now about 75% legally driving in the state of California!
Thats right! Today has been an exhausting, and boring, but BOSS ass day.
I got car insurance - but you know I'm still not 100% sure I technically got covered as much as I was supposed to for a leased car. But I am just going to assume that when you click that it is a lease, they automatically give you only the coverage options that are legal, because otherwise that's be rude. Then again things like this are often rude as hell. And honestly I don't really care because the truth is, my only aim was to get covered at all so I can say I am. Because i'm (despite my many flaws) a pretty safe driver. So I am hoping there will not come a time that I need to really use it. ALSO I am trying to move overseas and get rid of the car in like 3 months anyways so I just really needed to CMA so I can deliver GrubHub and stuff because you know I need a J-A-B.
ALSO - I got my Cali license, or rather it's in the mail. I almost had to go off though because I'd waited for 5 hours and when I finally got called they tried to tell me I could get everything done EXCEPT the testing so I'd have to come back another day - which was obviously the wrong answer. Luckily they came to their senses and let me do the little written test and I am good to go!
So! now all I have to do to say goodbye to living in constant fear of fees and court and jail and death whatever - is get my registration done.
Which I tried to d today but alas - no idea where my current (out of date) registration card went soooo I don't know what i'm supposed to do about that and thus the fear continues...
What did I learn? MOTHERFUCKER I learned today that not all DMV's are created equally as bad as the next. SOME are even worse than others! I knew I was going to wait forever, so I brought a book and was going to make the most of it. I swear- I was even sort of looking forward to the time to do nothing but sit there and read. Only to find out that this DMV barely has chairs and you have to wait in a 3 hour standing line that starts OUTSIDE in 90 degree weather, before the ticketing and sitting process begins.... Rude.
Till next time,
