My boyfriend says I'm a decent writer - but I talk in circles a lot. I think that is because everything I write is "stream of conscious" and my mind works in circles. It is something I want to work on, I just don't know how possible that will be. So this is titled "Pizza Slut" because I want to write about how I need to create a real schedule for myself and showering and washing my face needs to literally be on my schedule because otherwise I stay dirty. Really right now I am such a filthy person. How does pizza slut relate? So as I was saying, I need to make a schedule to wash my face because right now my face is going through it! I'm afraid my skin has never been in such bad condition. I am getting bad pimples in areas I usually never do and I'm scared all this stress is going to give me adult cystic acne or something! So, back in the day, when someone had bad acne - you called them pizza face. So that explains how my mind got to pizza. Now pizza slut was something I was thinking about last night. Last night we ordered pizza for the first time in a while (for us) because we haven't had ANY money!
(Side Note) - My retirement check finally came in so we have been having a bad "treat yo-self" moment.
So anyways before ordering the pizza I asked if he wanted Domin - Ho's or Pizza Slut? I've gotten into the habit of calling Dominos, Domin - Ho's. So then I started thinking about how awesome those would be as slutty halloween costumes. So I might be a Pizza Slut for a night on Halloweek. All of this is beside the point though, and It just goes to show the circles I think in, and therefore, write in.
Point is, what's in my broom closet is the need for an intense ass schedule!
This is something I've wanted to do for a while, but until now, I hadn't taken any real steps in doing it. Yesterday I had a phone call with this really cool chick I met off of Bumble Biz - and we've decided to become "Accountability Partners!" So that was a huge step for me because we are going to be making sure to be up, dressed, and ready to concur the world by 10am every weekday. And we are accountable to each other to make sure that we do it! Still though, I need a real schedule, and being up and ready by 10am is a start but it's not enough. How do I know? Because even though the call was a little after 10am yesterday - immediately after we got off the phone, I went back to sleep. Ugh I suck - reasons why I call myself Garbage Gal.... So anyways, this morning I woke up and saw that there was going to be a Direct Cellars training call in a few minutes and I decided to tune into that.
The trainer (Side note - was one of the glossy people I mentioned in one of my recent blog posts) - was talking about (of course) creating a schedule for yourself. Bingo - it's a sign! And she really had an interesting take on it. She said (paraphrasing of course) that people tend to make a schedule and then prioritize things based on it. But instead what she does is start with her priorities and plug them into her schedule first. What she means by priorities btw, is not "this has a due date coming up, so I have to work on it first". So some background - she prefaced this all by asking us to answer 3 questions for ourselves. 1 - What do you want your life to look like? 2 - What do you want your days to be filled with? 3 - Name 3 - 5 top priorities you have. So I plan on writing out those answers in a cute little Sarah-esque blog post. But for now, just to explain priorities - she named 1 - herself, 2- her marriage, 3 - her family. She also explained very well why they are in that order but I won't get into that. Point is, she schedules based on her priorities and what will get her closer to the vision of the life she has for herself. Writing this all out - it seems very basic - but I swear over the phone it was kinda profound lol! She also said - if you don't actually put time for the wine biz in your schedule, then you are treating this biz like a hobby, but expecting to get paid from it like a job. And that was a power plug because it's so true. And I have really fallen off of the biz train for the last 2 weeks.
So anyways - sorry for the circles. Point is:
1 - I need a schedule
2 - I need to schedule EVERYTHING down to a routine - just to get myself started at least.
3 - I need to schedule based on my priorities.
So, I just downloaded a Scheduling app! Go me! - Now I have to use it lol
